Terms of Use
- Dodge Racer is free to play for your personal enjoyment and may show ads. You can buy an in-app purchase to remove them.
- Play fair: no cheating, hacking or offensive names. We can remove scores and names that break the rules.
- The game is provided as it is; your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Code Rock Technologies ("we", "us") about Dodge Racer on the web, Android and iOS (the "game"), including its online leaderboard. By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't play. If you are under 18, please read these terms with a parent or guardian. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
2. Using the game
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to play the game for your own non-commercial use. The game, its code, cars, artwork, sounds and name belong to us or our licensors. Open-source components, such as the three.js library, are used under their own licences.
You must not:
- copy, resell, rent or redistribute the game, or pass it off as your own;
- reverse-engineer or modify the game to gain an advantage on the leaderboard;
- interfere with the service, overload it, or access it with bots or automated scripts;
- use the game in any way that breaks the law.
3. Player accounts and the leaderboard
When you play online, the game creates an anonymous player account for your installation. You're responsible for activity on your account. If you uninstall the app or clear browser data, you may lose access to an anonymous account and its scores; linking a Google or Apple account, where offered, lets you keep them.
Fair play
Scores must come from genuine play of an unmodified game. Submitting scores by tampering with the game, its network traffic or our servers, exploiting bugs, or using someone else's account is not allowed. We check scores automatically and may remove any score, or block any account, that we reasonably believe breaks these rules, without notice.
Display names
Display names are public. Don't use names that are offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening, misleading, or that impersonate someone else, and please don't use your full real name. We may change or remove any name.
4. Availability and changes
We work to keep the game and leaderboard running, but we don't promise they will always be available, error-free, or unchanged. We may update, change, reset or discontinue features, including resetting leaderboards (for example weekly boards, or after a cheating incident), at any time. The game can be played offline without the leaderboard.
5. Ads and in-app purchases
Ads
The game is free to play and may show ads, supplied by third-party ad providers. We choose where and how often ads appear and may change this. We're not responsible for the content of third-party ads or the websites and apps they link to, but tell us if you see an ad that seems inappropriate. How ad data is handled is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Remove Ads purchase
- What you get: a one-time, non-consumable purchase that stops the game showing ads on the platform where you bought it. It is a licence to use that feature, not a transfer of ownership. It doesn't change gameplay or give any leaderboard advantage.
- Price and payment: the price is shown in the store before you buy, including any taxes the store collects. Payment is processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and their terms also apply.
- Restoring: you can restore the purchase on a new device signed in to the same store account. Where we offer it, signing in to your player account may also carry it across devices.
- Refunds: refunds are handled by the store under its refund policy. This doesn't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, for example if the purchase doesn't work as described.
- If we stop the game: if we discontinue the game or the ad-free feature, we'll give reasonable notice where we can, and you keep any rights the law gives you.
We may also offer other optional purchases in future. Any extra terms will be shown before you buy.
6. Consumer rights and disclaimers
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't lawfully be excluded, including consumer guarantees.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, the game is provided "as is" and "as available", without other warranties. Please play safely: take breaks, and never play while driving or doing anything that needs your attention.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, scores or progress, arising from the game. Where our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited, at our option, to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
8. Ending your use
You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your leaderboard data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access to the online features if you break these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date above, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the game or in the store listing. Continuing to play after changes means you accept them.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws in force in Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia. If you live elsewhere, you may also have rights under the laws of your country that these terms don't take away.
